Happy reading from Sebastian Cole

★★★★★ “Many reviewers have compared Sand Dollar by Sebastian Cole to Nicholas Sparks. To be fair I want you to know that I have never read a Nicholas Sparks book nor have I seen a related movie. I don’t ordinarily read books that are classified as romance but I was interested in Sand Dollar due to its fantasy romance genre.
For the first half of the book it seemed more like a lost love type of story and although that is interesting, I wasn’t quite sure what the fantasy aspect was. As I continued to read though, that became increasingly clear. From the beginning it is clear that Noah is a great person with a great desire to love and be loved. I have never been in a position where the person I am destined to be with – my soulmate – is just not someone it is possible to be with. But the premise is quite heartbreaking and I found myself wanting so much more for Noah. Robin is his soulmate. That is clear but for some reason it just never seems to work out. The reason it doesn’t work out is eventually made clear and then my heart broke for the two of them and how they had so much stacked against them and their relationship.
The fantasy becomes evident toward the end of the book, and it was one of those “Oh my God, that can’t possibly be” types of moments. I read most of this book in one day/sitting. That wasn’t my intent but once I made it past the first half of the book I really just could not find the perfect time to put it aside for another day. Every chapter’s conclusion was not a conclusion at all – it left me hanging for the next and I just couldn’t step away. I give this story a five-star rating and would definitely read future novels by Sebastian Cole.” – The Stuff of Success

“This was probably the greatest love story I have ever read. Although at times I wanted to shake both Robin and Noah it truly was an amazing read with a spectacular ending. Want to share this book with friends but not willing to part with my copy. This will be a book I keep and read over and over again. Undying Love for Sand Dollar
“Congratulations Mr. Cole! Your debut novel, SAND DOLLAR: A STORY OF UNDYING LOVE, is a winner. And I’m a winner too! I won this book as a Firstreads Giveaway. SAND DOLLAR is a wonderful tale of love and so much more. Noah Hartman~~what a perfect name for a man who follows his heart~~spent his life searching for his soul mate. He found her in Robin. If only Robin could find her way to back to him. As eighty-year old Noah from his hospital bed tells his story to Josh, a very special orderly, we learn of a love that will never die. Well done. I enjoyed reading this story written from a man’s perspective. Genuine. Keep writing Mr. Cole and I’ll keep reading! I gave this book 4 stars but I really wanted to give it 4.5 stars!” — Maryellen

“Mr. Cole did an amazing job writing this book. I strongly recommend that any one who loves romance books you need to read this one, just have your tissues ready your going to need them. What Noah went through was gut wrenching a true sole mate is hard to find as Noah will tell you, but if you wait long enough as Noah did for Robin it will work out in the end. And to share his love story with a very special some one like Josh is even better. I can’t wait until his next book come out. I really Love this book.” — Sherrie Pogorzelski

I am truly grateful for all of the wonderful reviews that SAND DOLLAR: A Story of Undying Love has received thus far; and I am humbled by the comparisons that have been made to an incredible author whom I greatly admire, Nicholas Sparks.
Here’s what people are saying:
“This smashing debut by Sebastian Cole reads like the best of Nicholas Sparks with just enough schmaltz. Moving and emotive, it’s every bit THE NOTEBOOK.” — Jon Land, best selling author of STRONG AT THE BREAK
“In the vein of THE NOTEBOOK and numerous other classics, SAND DOLLAR proves once again that true love never dies.” — Marsha Oglesby, Hollywood producer
“I enjoyed this book very much, and would recommend it to any Nicholas Sparks’ fans out there, like myself. If you are debating whether to read this book, DO IT.” — Kiersten at Amazon
“Sebastian Cole did an AMAZING job with this book. It is a great love story with real life characters and real life problems. He reminds me of Nicholas Sparks with his ability to play on your heart strings throughout the entire book.” — Kelani at Amazon
“Like THE NOTEBOOK. Really Great read, great love story!! I could not put the book down! I have definitely recomended to all my friends and book club to read.”
— Valerie at Amazon
“Excellent modern romance! It definitely was similar to Nicholas Sparks or Richard Paul Evans. Not only was it a great love story, but it was also suspenseful.”
— Amy Z Drew at Amazon
“Mr. Cole’s work is exceptional, well written and beautiful, to compare him to Nicholas Sparks is accurate, but I feel that Mr. Cole is and will continue to blaze his own path and leave his own mark as a writer.” — Michelle C. Jordan at Amazon
“Recommend this book for any Nicholas Sparks fan! Great love story! Get tissues!” — Mary Levie at Amazon
“I have read every Nicholas Sparks book and I can tell you, this is right up there with them! I look forward to reading his future books!” — Lori at Amazon
“Being an avid Nicholas Sparks fan, I’m very particular about my romance novels, but Sebastian Cole did not disappoint!!” – iclimbedatreetoseetheworld at Amazon
“Sebastian Cole says on his website that his story is a cross between THE NOTEBOOK and THE SIXTH SENSE, and that is a perfect description. If you are going into this story thinking it will be another cookie cutter story of undying love, you will not get that with this one. Cole twists and turns this plot (which is why I couldn’t put it down) to where you can’t assume anything about the ending. You HAVE to read it.” — Kate Patrick
“I highly recommend this to all avid readers of Modern Romance. If you like Nicholas Sparks, here’s a book for you!” — Book Addict
“This tale is not just for all you Nicholas Spark’s fans, but for all of us that at one time or another have let that ‘one, true and pure’ love get away.”
“SAND DOLLAR is a love story reminiscent of THE NOTEBOOK, as the author confesses, but still remains uniquely its own story.” — Epic Book Quest
“Overall this is a great Romance. Any fan of Nicholas Sparks will absolutely adore Sebastian Cole.” — The Blogging Book
“In the tradition of Nicholas Sparks, whom Cole cites as his favorite author, SAND DOLLAR is a sentimental love story about finding and losing one’s soul mate. Cole metes out important information at a good pace, keeping the reader as baffled as Noah by Robin’s strange changes of heart, and carefully manipulates details to lead to a real surprise ending.” — Feathered Quill Book Reviews
“Most of all, books like both THE NOTEBOOK and SAND DOLLAR help everyone to realize that time is passing and that we should always tell those we love how much joy they’ve brought us and that the difficult times made us stronger and the people we are today.” – Jeanne Miro
“When I was told that this was the next great love story I was cynical, but it is totally true. Noah and Robin’s story is the greatest love story I have ever read. This is a story that will touch you to the depth of your heart.” — A Novel Review
“It was one of the greatest love stories ever told! I hope to see it in the movies because I will definitely go see it!” — Riau
“A beautiful love story reminiscent of Mr. Sparks’ THE NOTEBOOK, SAND DOLLAR plays upon the notion of the road not taken. Readers will be enchanted by the deep abiding love between two characters that seem peppered with insurmountable odds.” — Coffee Time Romance

A Fantastic Love Story
“I won this book in a contest off of Goodreads.com. Im not a huge romance reader so I was skeptical about this book at first. I adored it!! I loved Noah’s character and how he came from money but was very down to earth. I love that he was true to his heart through the entire story. I know Robin’s character had to be the way she was but she made me mad! Noah was a great guy. In the end though she realized what she had. I would recommend this book for sure! A must read!”

Sand Dollar: A Story of Undying Love

Lots of twists and turns
“This is the first book I have received as a Goodreads giveaway. I must admit that I thought maybe the giveaway books were going to be lame and not worth reading, but this one certainly disproved that. I enjoyed reading about Noah and could certainly imagine myself in his place if my true love just up and walked out of my life. I liked the twists and turns this book has, and can’t wait to see what Sebastian Cole is going to be writing next.” -- S. Sprinkle

“First of all, I really loved this book. It was highly fabulous. I know I said this already, but thanks to Sebastian for providing me a chance to read this book.(Free signed copy! I was so ecstatic.) It reminded me of Harper Lee’s To Kill a Mockingbird, not the story, or the setting or anything like that, but the way of writing. The story sort of begins at the end, and then the end is the beginning. I highly recommend this book for those avid readers of fantasy/modern/romance readers out there. It has a tiny bit of fantasy, which makes it pretty interesting!
Most of it, though, is just modern romance. The fantasy part is near the end-ish.
Yes. Everyone should read this book. I don’t think there’s any age limit to this book, because it can always be enjoyed by any age.
Well. I guess that’s it!” — that-bookaholic

Reminds me of Nicholas Sparks
“I really, really liked this book. It was definitely my kind of book. Very Nicholas Sparks. I thought that maybe the plot sounded a little bit cheesy, but you know what, that’s what I love. I really liked the writing style of this book, and I just had a hard time putting it down whenever I picked it up.
Now, things really frustrated me in this book. The main things that just really irked me were Robin, and Noah’s parents. I JUST WANTED TO CHOKE THEM. Usually, by the end of a book, characters I really hate I end up liking, depending on what the author does with the character. By the end, I did like Robin, but I never quite liked Noah’s parents. But even though I was not Robin’s biggest fan throughout the book, I found myself wanting Robin and Noah to be together.
With that being said, my favorite character of course was Noah. How could it not be?
Just to sum things up, I enjoyed this book very much, and would recommend it to any Nicholas Sparks’ fans out there, like myself. If you are debating whether to read this book, DO IT.” — Kiersten
